SHIMANO SPD SM-SH56 MULTI-DIRECTIONAL RELEASE CLEAT SET

Shimano’s SM-SH56 SPD Multi-Release cleat features a 13-degree clip-out angle and a 'multi-release' design that allows you to clip out of your pedals by twisting your foot in either direction or by rotating your heel.  In other words the SM-SH56 cleats will 'let go' more easily than the 'single-release' SM-SH51 cleats supplied with most SPD pedals. The SM-SH56 cleats are distinguished by their stainless silver finish.

Who is this product for? First time users of Shimano SPD pedals who are nervous about not being able to release from the pedals easily. The cleats are probably the wrong thing for a serious rider who doesn't want to release a foot unexpectedly.

The Bicycle Depot Top Technical Tip: When fitting new cleats, apply some grease to the screw threads to reduce corrosion. The serrations on the mounting face of SPD cleats tends to leave indentations in the sole of the shoe - use these as a guide to position the new cleats by moving the cleats around until they fit with the serrations from the old cleats.
