The Bicycle Depot Top Technical Tip: Always make sure the tool and the hex socket on the pedal are clean. Ensure the tool is fully inserted into the hex socket on the pedal and that you are operating from a 'strong position'. It may help to invert the bike and remove the rear wheel to give better access. If the pedals have not been removed for a long time and aren't budging, stop and seek assistance before damaging the hex insert.
